The teachers at R.C. Garnett open their classrooms to share their professional learning journey with colleagues. We have a total of six demonstration days planned throughout the school year. More information about how to participate can be found at Think Langley. 

All sessions take place between 8:00 a.m. and noon. In most cases, visitors will observe two lessons; one before and one after recess. Visitors will receive a pre-briefing by the demonstrating teacher, and an opportunity to ask questions during a debrief at the end of the demonstration lesson. From time to time we have also arranged smaller demonstration visits for staffs, teams or individuals from schools outside the Langley School District. These discussions have been focused on a range of topics including inquiry-based teaching, guided reading, balanced literacy programs, problem solving and technology integration.
